How to Play

Core Gameplay Loop

1. Gear up in your Hideout & Join a Squad: You begin in your single-player Hideout, a calm base for organizing gear, customizing weapons and character, and planning missions without pressure. From here, you can join a squad of one or two others, or go it alone.
2. Pick Your Loadout: You and your squadmates choose your loadouts, including weapons, attachments, and Consumables. Here, you decide what gear to risk bringing into the Zone—higher-quality gear boosts your survival chances, but if you die, you’ll lose everything you brought.
3. View Contracts & Start Match: View contracts at the contract terminal - they are automatically enabled and if you choose to pursue them, add an objective, like eliminating enemies, collecting Artifacts, or securing areas, for extra rewards. Then ready up to enter a match.
4. Collecting Artifacts (Optional):
   • The most valuable thing in a Match is an Artifact.
   • There is one per layer, with layer 1 Artifacts being worth the least (still super worth it!) and layer 3 being worth the most
   • To collect a Artifact, you’ll need to follow these steps:
     1. Collect 3 Keys: Often guarded by enemies or hidden in challenging locations, you can find them on your locator.
     2. Find the & activate the Vault: Once you have all three keys, they will reveal the location of a vault. Activating the vault starts a 100-second countdown, during which waves of creatures will spawn and attack you + EVERY other player can now see it’s location. You and your squad must hold your ground and fend off these creatures.
     3. Secure the Artifact: When the countdown ends, an Artifact will appear. This Artifact Is valuable but will also make you a target.
     4. Tracked by Other you: Once you grab the Artifact, its location is broadcast to everyone else in the game. You must move quickly and strategically to avoid being intercepted.
